My family history indicates that Mattie Palmer married Asa Bennett.I have found an Asa Lee and Mattie Belle Bennett buried in theOakland Cemetery in Moberly. I also discovered an Asa and SarahBennett, whose son John and Falby (Phelps) Bennett also had a sonnamed Asa.Now the age of my possible Asa (b. 1869) doesn't match up to childrenof these two families but I'd bet my Asa is at least another grandsonor even great-grandson (it appears the Asa naming convention ispretty strong within this family).Appreciate any help!

WINN, FREEMAN, HARRISON

I'm looking for information about my great grandparents, GeorgeMartin Winn and Virginia Harrison Freeman. They had one son,Ambrose Benton Winn. I have their marriage certificate (1912)which shows they were from Higbee. My dad seems to recallthem living near Moberly at some time. Ultimately they boughtfarmland near Fayette. In his funeral service George's (mostlycalled Mart) parents are given as Ambrose Warner Winn andLydia Cleeter Winn. It also suggests he had at least four sistersand one brother, but I don't have any names or dates there.Would really like to know my great grandmother, Virginia'sparents' names for starters. Am told that Harrison, her middlename, is also a family name; I'd always misinterpretted it as hermaiden name. Only recently did I discover that it was actuallyFreeman. Thanks!
